changes

it's been awhile.

changes have come and gone.

what i'm doing with my life is all over the map:

- ending a long term relationship

- looking to buy a house in a tough market

- looking for job opportunities

- building new friendships

it's been a busy summer and now that it's fall, i think i need to start on moving on and changing things up.

i've been keeping up with the workout/pilates/tennis regime. it's been tres helpful for my health - mentally, physically, you name it

i ended up scoring a gold medal at the World Police and Fire Games with my tennis partner. that was great fun.

i'm looking forward to 2011 as i'll be competing again barring any injuries...

i hope all is well with everyone out there. drop a line sometime if you know how to get a hold of me...

well hello there!

long time no talk.

yes, it's been a while. i haven't really had much to say. or i haven't really had much i've felt like posting to the whole blogging community - all of 1 person who reads this.

life has been going at a rate of warp speed for me. what that entails is for me to know. suffice to say there may be significant changes ..well let's hope.

here's a brief glimpse: had a few interviews for differnet postings. looking for a change of scenary but won't be totally upset if i don't get what i want. i find that every now and then you have to shake things up a little. can't let complacency rule your life.

i started pilates a few months back; what wonders that has done for me. it's seriously stopped most of my back problems. who knew being active would help your body feel better.

for those who i haven't told, i'll be competing the World Police and Fire Games being held in our beautiful province. i'll be playing tennis - mixed doubles only as i'm not fit enough compete in singles. it'll be fun. hot as well. i'm hoping no one gets heat stroke from the insane weather we've been having.

anyways it's late so i'll bid you adieu from one of my favourite lines from this summer's best movie (i've seen so far)..... Rainman did it and he was a ritard.....

just haven't found inspiration to blog lately.

i've recently discovered pilates. after my sister in law continued insisting, i decided to get off my lazy arse and try it. i headed to a semi private lesson with my mommy and find it to be quite interesting. my plans are to quit the gym - the gym i haven't stepped foot into in over a year ..or two :| - and continue with pilates on a regular basis.. or whatever regular basis i can with shift work.

i've also stepped up my efforts in attempting to get active by playing tennis more. it's been the 3rd week and i've kept it up. thank god for the good weather we've been getting (minus the wind storm).

the clouds broke and it's sunny today...

so i'm actually going to be working a full block of 5 work shifts this week. no time off; no exchanges. that'll be a change. but before work, it'll be a lil dim sum with the gals (and boys).

honestly, i haven't found anything interesting to blog about.

life's been good

work, and play are happening. unfortunately more work than play but i've taken some time off before fiscal ends and that'll give me time to buy a much needed dress for a wedding in june...actually two weddings on the same day.

i'm still around, find me in my usual spots if you need...

sorry for the rant the other day.

been quite moody this week. it was a tough week. i was snappy with the people i work with; i'm usually able to handle the teasing they give me with whatever, my height is the usually brunt of their jokes. so yesterday i snapped back. not sure if they noticed.

took a mental health day as i don't think i would be a lot of good with coworkers or the public. wouldn't want a complaint on my file.

went to watch He's Not That into You (or whatever it's called) wiht a friend (from work). nice for the invite. we cringed through the movie but in the end we both agreed that we liked it. lots of movie stars; i'm not sure if they could afford all of their salaries! Anniston, Barrymore, Affleck, Long.... the list goes on. that's just crazy. oh well. whatever they got, it was a good movie. definitely a stress reliever.

did you ever think about what you were doing? getting in your Buick with two teenage girls...drunk? do you have any remorse? well maybe the next years sitting in a jail cell will help you think about your past and your future.

i think you're a coward. you hit two people, got out of your car and ran away leaving your passengers...only to get caught.

i have no words to express my sadness at the moment - just anger.

maybe i'll have more to say at a later time when i've processed all this.

it's been a while.

i haven't had the time to get to blogging lately. i've been run down with work. and when i get home, all i want to do is eat and then get to bed as i have to wake up and head back to work again to do everything all over again.

i've also been trying to write a bunch of cover letters. it's quite difficult as i'm qutie tired after i get home from work.

other than that, we had a girls night last week. it was great. talking, drinking (by some), shopping..i bought skinny jeans. that's a first for me. apparently they look good. i they look fine i guess. i just needed something to wear with my new boots i bought while in Taiwan ;).

i've been eating nonstop since i arrived in the philippines. the wedding was great - a tad windy for the people sitting outside, but ti was good. there was so much meat. Reese was in heaven. i think he counted about 7 types of meat... Everyday has been a smorgesborg of food. we have a dinner (and lunch) planned for every day until we leave for Taiwan. I'm hoping i'm not gaining weight ( probably am though).

So i hear at home it's been snowing more. I'm a little afraid of how it's going to be when we come back home. i'll just enjoy the weather we have here for now (it's about 30 degrees) and not think about it.

other than the food, weather and shopping i've been doing, i've been getting eaten alive by bugs here. And when i get bitten i have huge allergic reactions. I've been trying not to itch/scratch, but it's quite difficult as i've got multiple bites to not think about - my left inner ankle, my right inner and outer ankle, my right arm x 3... *sigh. i guess it's a trade off for being in a nice tropical climate.

alright time for me to go and shower and enjoy a nice lunch to welcome the bride home .

AM I KIDDING MYSELF? i can't sing myself into wanting something i hate. that's right I HATE SNOW. it wreaks havoc on everything. unfortunately it's snowing all around. i even missed the gal's annual christmas dinner as it was WAY too dangerous to drive out downtown.

i've been kinda stuck in Langley - well not really stuck as i had good company. i got an easy Christmas present from Reese as he said i was whining too much... i got Mario Kart! i was looking everywhere for it and he somehow finds it. vroooooooom vroooooooooooooooom.
